to whistleblower
protection

Hyosung ITX (henceforth referred to as ‘Company’) follows the principle of secrecy for whistleblower, and they shall not be given disadvantages or discriminatory treatment for their just notifications.

Guidelines for
protecting
the whistleblower

The officer in charge of inappropriate/illegal acts shall keep in secrecy the identity of the whistleblower and that of other persons in cooperation with the investigation during all stages of the investigation process, from the reception of the notification and investigation to the follow-up measures. The personal protection of the whistleblower and others shall also be guaranteed.

    • When record management is made in all stages of the process, the actual name of the whistleblower shall not be made
    • The use of information that can act as clues to the identity of the whistleblower shall be minimized

    • However, if examination needs to be made with department of management for internal accounting, the exception is to share

    • Examination shall be made with care so as to prevent the leakage of the whistleblower’s identity
    • The pausing of examinations if there is a high likelihood for leakage, and measures shall be made for the prevention of further leakage

Once the whistleblower feels that his identity can be leaked, or his personal safety threatened, he may contact the officer in charge of inappropriate/illegal acts for personal protection, and the officer shall without delay assign the whistleblower to a different department or take other measures after following internal approval processes.

Disciplinary measures
for the violation
of whistleblower protection measures

The officer in charge of inappropriate/illegal acts shall be given disciplinary measures if the guidelines for the personal protection of the whistleblower are violated, or if other persons cooperating with the investigation have their identities leaked.
